Fall to do list

As is often the case, I have a wide variety of projects on my plate this week. The first one I’m working on is how to keep the garden going as long as possible. Although our temperatures are flirting with record highs, it’s time to take action to extend the harvest. This week I’m interviewing a local woman who will share her secrets so readers can learn how to enjoy spinach and other veggies well past the first frost.
The next article on my to-do list is a far cry from gardening, but I think it’s an important topic. Our natural instinct when we hear the word “cancer” is to immediately do something about the situation, but when it comes to prostate cancer, there can be more of a “watch and wait” course of action. For this article, I’ll talk to experts to determine when this might be the best thing to do. I would also like to chat with someone who has chosen this route so feel free to contact me if you have an experience you’d like to share.
To wrap up the week I have to consider that four letter word – snow – as I write a piece on the winter outings of the Montana Wilderness Association. I suppose if we have to live with the nasty white stuff, we might as well make the best of it.
